My research involved performing computational and condensed matter astrophysics, researching crystal structures and chemical compositions of stellar objects. The latter part of my research, I experimented with using LAMMPS molecular dynamic software to investigate thermal conductivities of the crystal structures we found. I have gained experience using computer software and programs, but also troubleshooting and analytic skills. For example; the beginning of my research involved extensively evaluating and testing and existing program to see if it worked for our systems, which were beyond the limits of the current scope of the software. To fix this we had to apply creative solutions to re-write, add, and edit source code (C++); as well as apply a new process of using the program.
