Responsible for spearheading community outreach and engagement efforts and gaining a strong understanding of the transitional environment and developing activities that are timely, responsive, and meaningful within the context of LTI’s objectives. Strengthen the capacity of Program Development Officers to identify prospective grantees and viable, high-impact activity concepts quickly and consistently. Provide day-to-day oversight of the grants management unit (GMU) with an emphasis on mentoring the Program Manager to troubleshoot implementation challenges and ensure activities are implemented successfully. Managed 12 programmatic and operational office staff based in eastern Libya.

Provided strategic oversight for the implementation of the $49 million Lebanon Civic Support Initiative as a member of the Senior Management Team. Ensured that the program's grant clearance, grants management, procurement, reporting, and accounting systems were functioning efficiently. Supervised all 18 of the LCSI’s implementation and operational staff.Increased grant development rates to generate $1.4 million in new grants within the first month of joining, and averaged over $1.2 million in monthly activities in the final 5 months prior to the closeout phase – both high-water marks for the 5-year project. Built the capacity of staff on OTI, USAID and Chemonics best practices in grants management, procurement, and finance.

Nairobi, Kenya

Oversaw day-to-day operations for the USAID/OTI-funded Kenya Transition Initiative (KTI), which sought to address root causes of election-related violence in the most at-risk areas of the country while promoting an open, transparent and peaceful 2013 election cycle. Revamped the performance monitoring plan (PMP) for KTI’s countering violent extremism (CVE) component.Responsible for grant development and management, procurement, finance and administration. Supervised 23 staff members and reported directly to the Chief of Party.

Supported a team of attorneys during the investigation of business mergers and litigation for antitrust or anti-competitive practices violations. Worked in a fast-paced, high-intensity trial setting and helped write, edit and cite check the 'Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law' for post-trial briefs. Led and managed a team of attorneys to cite check a 200 page legal document in two days. Identified and indexed information from a database with over 700,000 confidential business documents.
