- Technical architecture and product definition for an IoT distributed sensing system- Hiring and mentorship of a team of engineers and contractors- Built out a cloud data ingest and device management pipeline on top of AWS services (e.g. Lambda, RDS, IoT/MQTT, SQS, S3)- Software defined radio and mesh networking w/ LORA for IoT sensor networks- Embedded linux development using Yocto to build distributed sensor devices that stream data to cloud pipelines

Research into machine-learning techniques for real-time monitoring of flight control software. Implementation of test algorithms on flight controllers written in C and eCos. Development of a runtime monitor using these techniques for a ROS-based quadrotor platform.

Designed, tested, and implemented a starter motor system for small, turbocharger-derived gas turbine generators. Performed turbomachinery analysis to develop an energy efficient startup method for a battery driven startup motor. Tested and analyzed performance of an ultracapacitor-based energy storage system.

Enhanced an obstacle detection system used by autonamous robots that transport and sort goods in Amazon's warehouses. Designed physical obstacle test setups. Wrote firmware in C to interpret and avoid obstacles. Created extensive test software in MATLAB to analyze system performance.

Analyzed and reported on energy usage of HVAC and lighting systems in large commercial and multifamily buildings. Evaluated energy savings of New York State's energy efficiency program for multifamily buildings. Conducted energy audits and reported on energy usage of industrial and commercial facilities throughout the Northeast. Performed technical consulting for electrical utilities by calculating energy savings and monetary incentives resultant of lighting retrofits and new-construction projects.
