Currently a Finance Specialist at Arbor Financial Credit Union, which has provided me valuable insight as to how financial regulations impact companies, how currency is transacted in the financial industry and how to prepare and analyze data in financial reports and spreadsheets. My current title involves being a specialist in every aspect of the finance department, from accounting to ACH processing and debit/credit card services. This has expanded my skill set in balancing general ledgers, creating and understanding financial reports, and detecting small but crucial details that would otherwise be overlooked. I was promoted to my current position just after earning my Bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Michigan University. Throughout my college career, I was a Dean’s list recipient, and built lasting relationships with professors who helped further educate me outside of the classroom. During my years at Western Michigan University, I completed an internship with Bank of Guam at the headquarters in Hagatña, Guam. I was responsible for completing financial analysis on our marketing activities while giving input as to how and where new promotions should roll out. I also led a team of 10 other interns to create an Employee Assistance Program, where we presented a few ways the company could invest back into it’s employees. Within two years, Bank of Guam has implemented three out of five of these programs. I am seeking to expand my network and build my knowledge of finance and business.
