Led the engagement with bank, lawyers & tax advisers to implement a Debt/Equity swap in 2010 to significantly strengthen the Group balance sheet. Extensive involvement in driving the strategic divestment of part of the Group to a publicly listed Hong Kong entity for 10x EBITDA in 2013. Direct liaison with PE house (TPG/Goldman Sachs) following their buy-out of LBG’s equity in the business in 2013. Drove a successful MBO from the PE house in 2014 working directly with lawyers and tax advisers. Developed and implemented a strategic plan to prepare for exit. In conjunction with MD, developed a list of potential strategic acquirers of the business. Contacted potential acquirers directly with high response rate. Took lead role in transaction discussion with potential acquirers and managed the whole due diligence phase without involvement of any corporate advisers. Business sold to Fabrinet (NYSE: FN) in September 2016 for 14x EBITDA. Remained with the business for two years post sale to support integration activities. In addition, provided support to corporate M&A function to assess addition European acquisition targets for Fabrinet. This involved identifying potential targets from both inbound opportunities and those identified by desktop review.
