I am a Director in Grant Thornton's Consulting division, focusing on operational and financial performance improvement. My recent client experience has included:• Finance Manager Secondment - for a $300m business unit of a large retail client where I was responsible for day-to-day P&L management, providing timely weekly & monthly reports, forecasting, preparing small CAPEX business cases and driving the financial performance of the business. • Manufacturing Costs Review – where I led a review into the cost structures of an injection moulding plastics business. This included analysis of operational, financial, sales and supply chain data, conducting stakeholder interviews and identifying potential cost savings. • Strategic Growth Plan Review – this involved the review of the global expansion strategy for an FMCG client, which included market size, market segments and distribution channels. • Project Management – to initiate a new product initiative for a large retail client. This involved working with stakeholders from Supply Chain, Store Operations, Merchandise, Finance, Store Development, Space Planning and Marketing to establish a project plan. • Finance Improvement process – this involved identifying a series of process improvements across the Finance function (including AP/AR and capital budgeting & reporting).Prior to this role, I spent over 5 years PwC managing a significant portfolio of R&D Tax Incentive clients, before transitioning to an Outsourced Accounting/CFO team where I provided a range of business advisory services to privately owned SME clients including.My leadership skills have been heavily shaped by my service in the Army Reserve where I learnt the importance of teamwork, discipline and looking after those you work with. For 2 years I undertook the General Service Officer Training at Adelaide University Regiment (AUR), before transferring to the Royal Australian Corps of Transport (RACT).I hold a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP). During my time at university I also worked to help my parents establish our family's small business.
