I've have had the opportunity to work in multiple fields. Although they haven't been related to one another, they have overlapped greatly in customer service, working in team and independent settings, and safety striving towards risk mitigation."Safety protects people, quality protects jobs" isn't just some cliche. These words bear much more significant meaning for the last two professions I've worked that are inherently more dangerous when working around utility lines. For quality, I currently meet the demands for residential and small business customers in the forms of voice, data, and even video services. I've developed skills in Ethernet networking (Cat5e/Cat6) and utilize technical tools crucial to copper and fiber optic transportation methods (HST3000, ONX-580, JDSU 2302/12).What I may lack in a completed four-year degree I make up for in a tireless work ethic. A passion to find solutions in creative, practical, and safe manners. From my upbringing, I also inherited a knack to find out how things function. Stronger understandings of that concept help me thrive in all of the professions I've worked.I don't shy away from added responsibilities! I've volunteered or have been nominated for committees in establishing better safety practices, methods of increased productivity, and being a peer advocate. I love the added challenge of working outdoors year round even with adverse weather conditions.
