- Promote and demonstrate Cenovus safe work values and expectations.- Being a financial steward of project budgets ensuring responsible and efficient decision making on project spending.- Ensure assigned contractor(s) work in accordance with: Trade best practices; Site safety policies; OH&S requirements; Safe Work Agreements; Permits; Comply with all local and national standards and codes; Ground Disturbance Authorizations, etc.- Ensure assigned contractor(s) performs work to specification and code, maintains as built records, and adheres to the contractor's corporate quality plan. - Ensure contractor contract obligations are met with respect to work performed: in accordance to schedule expectations; identify and manage project change in accordance with contract and project requirements.- Clearly, openly and directly demonstrate safety leadership through action, discussion, involvement and engagement with all construction team members.- Review Field Level Hazzard Assessment with contractors to ensure all tasks are covered and promote a safe working environment; confirm these documents are continuously being updated as the tasks/ scope of work change.- Execution plan: Provide input to schedule development for assigned projects. Review contractor cost estimates and provide evaluation input (RFI).- Be proactive: Identify potential issues through lessons learned. Help gather information for the Tech group to facilitate the task of generating RFC’s.- Attest (review, validate against forecast), resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, and approve contractor timesheets for appropriate hours for labour, equipment and materials. This includes monitoring contractor manpower, equipment and overhead requirements.- Coordinate with Field Technical Group for constructability and engineering / design related concerns, conflicts, change requests.- Commission and Start Up assets once construction has been completed.
