Responsible for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) instruction to GHS staff (online and classroom), affiliates, outside healthcare providers and general public following the AHA guidelines and teachings materials and the National Safety Council Standards.Serve as a mentor and resource to Gundersen Health System.Responsible for the proper set-up and handling of course equipment and paperwork.Provides the necessary course documentation in accordance with the established AHA guidelines/standards.Maintains own AHA Provider and Instructor status by teaching a minimum of four ACLS courses, 4 BLS courses and 4 PALS courses a year and attends course updates as per AHA guidelines.Conduct instructor courses for new and current instructors and orientate instructor candidates.Continuously work on program quality improvements.Other duties as assigned.
