University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is part of the University of Wisconsin System and operates as one of the largest schools in the system. Its 120 acre campus is located along the Mississippi River in the heart of the Driftless Region. It provides a beautiful home for more than 10,000 students who occupy 100 undergraduate, 23 graduate, and 2 doctoral programs.As the project manager for Campus Planning & Construction, I am responsible for all things facilities planning and construction. My job is to:-Develop project outlines and specifications.-Create and maintain construction budgets.-Review and approve construction documents through project closeout.-Provide onsite supervision and direction on a frequent basis.-Partner with campus administration, faculty, staff, students, and local community to help ensure successful projects, both large and small scale.-Engage in campus committees such as several hiring committees, social media committee, and transgender steering committee.-Utilize in house facilities professionals as well as hire contractors to complete maintenance and construction projects.-Serve as an owners representative on capital projects as the primary point of contact for the university.-Assist in the development and coordination on long range planning processes.

Position includes:-Team with Owners and/or Owners Reps throughout duration of project-Support Field Superintendents-Create/Maintain Working Schedules -Provide onsite Supervision as required-Estimate and complete material take-offs for working budgets-Perform onsite pre-con surveys and budgets-Work directly with Architects and Engineers-Maintain Job Cost-Produce construction documents including Contracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders-Lead construction progress meetings with subcontractors

-Provide quality customer service to manufacturing, construction, and industrial facilities -Work both independently and in a team environment to meet and exceed sales goals month to month-Partner with specialists to maximize opportunities with high volume customers-Train new sales and support employees on all operations and specialized computer programs-Source and secure new products and materials for customers -Maintain store's corporate inventory and special stock.

-Managed a wide variety of retail build-outs, roll-outs, and tenant improvements -Estimated or partnered with estimating professional to create accurate bids-Followed up and secured business opportunities from new and existing clients-Qualified and hired sub-contractors to perform individual construction scopes-Worked directly with suppliers to guarantee accurate orders and on-time deliveries-Maintained and expanded client base (Wal-Mart Inc., Noodles & Co., Limited Brands, Charming Shoppes, Christopher and Banks, Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek, and many others)-Created and manipulated working schedule for the duration of the project to guarantee “100% Completion On Time”.-Ensured projects were kept at or below working budget on a daily basis.
