In this position, I lead organizational efforts to attract the philanthropic resources that enable WUSF Public Media to thrive. Responsible for setting strategy, aligning staffing with organizational fundraising priorities, budgeting, and I help each team member maximize their opportunity to meet or exceed fundraising goals.Essential responsibilities include:• Lead the work of the WUSF Development Department, managing teams focused on Major & Planned Giving, Membership, leadership annual giving, event sponsorships, travel programs and grants. • Manage six direct reports and a Development team of eleven fundraising professionals. Together we…o Manage active membership base of 20,000 households through carefully crafted processes to inspire continued engagement.o Successfully coordinated efforts and led the team that raised nearly $50,000,000 in charitable giving over the past eight years.o Doubled already strong mid-level giving revenues in seven years ($1,000-$9,999).o Launched the WUSF Leadership Society for annual donors giving $10,000+ annually, inspiring growth in leadership annual giving from $20,000 in FY2013 to $367,000 in FY2020. • Lead development liaison with WUSF’s Advisory Board, which has more than doubled in size and tripled in philanthropic impact in the past five years.• Manage a portfolio of qualified donors and prospective donors to cultivate, solicit and steward donors consistent with WUSF priorities and USF Foundation fundraising guidelines. In addition to annual fundraising responsibilities, I personally closed 11 six figure commitments and several dozen five figure gifts. More significantly, with my support our major gifts team has closed dozens more, including WUSF’s first two seven figure commitments.
