Twenty years ago No More Knots (NMK) Founder, former Athlete at the Australian Institute of Sport Kelly Townsend had a vision of a specialist remedial massage business focused on fixing people’s knots so they could perform at their best every day. As an athlete who’s trained at the highest levels she knows how important it is to keep your body in peak physical condition. Kelly started NMK with purpose building four treatment rooms & a small reception area on the ground level of a traditional Queenslander home where she lived in Greenslopes, Brisbane. NMK began with three very enthusiastic therapists who had a focus on high quality & consistent remedial massage with a passion for constantly learning from each other & being involved in professional development. As the business grew, NMK moved into the first dedicated Remedial Massage clinic in Greenslopes. Within a few years, Kelly’s childhood friend Kristy Donoghue came on board as Kelly’s business partner which allowed for the continued growth of NMK and the successful opening of the Taringa clinic in 2011 and the Newmarket clinic in early 2017.All NMK therapists have access to ongoing training and the opportunity for progression, ensuring NMK offers its customers some of the most highly trained and knowledgeable therapists in the industry. Today, NMK has grown to become Australia’s largest dedicated Remedial Massage provider and is operated out of three clinics in Greenslopes, Taringa and Newmarket offering Remedial Massage and Myotherapy. The team of more than 65 made up of therapists, receptionists & managers the team look after more than 800 clients weekly, ranging from professional business people to tradesmen, mums and dads, weekend warriors and elite athletes.
