I am a people-person with a mathematics background. My love for mathematics developed during my time as a student at Grand Ledge High School. The teachers in the math department at Grand Ledge showed me how to inspire others - even when the subject does not typically inspire most individuals. Though I have experienced success and satisfaction working in many different industries over the years, my most enjoyable and fulfilling time was spent as a water polo coach. Using the wonderful examples shown by my math teachers and coaches of my own, I was able to improve myself by improving others - both as athletes and individuals. There are many highlights from my time spent coaching - including a program-record for single-season victories, but the most satisfying aspect to reflect upon is the growth the players and program made during my time. I am looking for a career that provides the same satisfaction. While it is unlikely that I can make a career out of coaching water polo, I want a career that allows me to better myself and those around me by pushing people to be their best, be actively involved in the community, and create something that will be remembered for years to come.
