Manage programmatic operations for 66 counties in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area and surrounding counties to ensure compliance with federal requirements; establish goals and objectives; and develop program guidelines and procedures. Represent the division and the agency with the United States Department of Agriculture, professional associations and other agencies on policy and issues. Serve as a subject matter expert for field operations programs and participate in the appeals process.
Prepare and monitor budget requests for the assigned area.
Represent assigned area at planning sessions, committees, workgroups, meetings and conferences.
Evaluate, develop and/or implement appropriate outreach activities to increase participation in F&N programs.

Present monthly business reviews. Supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff in the assigned area and ensure compliance with F&N and agency policies and procedures. Oversee the scheduling, coordination and performance of monitoring activities. Manage program operations in the assigned area to ensure compliance with program requirements; establish goals and objectives; develop guidelines and procedures to ensure that F&N programs are administered in the area in accordance with state and federal regulations. Investigate complaints and determine corrective action, as needed. Remain abreast of, and interpret federal and state regulations and policies. Identify and coordinate the training of field staff to ensure a high level of regulatory compliance and consistency in the performance of reviews. Serve as a subject matter expert for field operations programs and participate in the appeals process. Draft, review, evaluate and recommend changes to correspondence, determination of any adverse actions, CAP documentation and SD determinations. Ensure all adverse action is taken in accordance with USDA guidelines and time frames state rules, and TDA policies.Accomplishments: Coordinated first successful completion of 2012 SFSP and 2013 CACFP programs for Region 2, ensured timely completion of administrative reviews and investigations. Received Leadership of The Year Award 2013.
