I was recruited to establish the logistics department within the company in the growing phase. The main goal is organizing the logistics operations based on our partners’ demands, cost effectiveness, security and KPIs.My responsibilities include:• Maintaining relationship with our subcontractors and partners.• Organizing effective warehouse operations based on KPIs.• Shipping process planning, introducing new modes of transportation in order to cut cost.• Measuring and optimizing the effectiveness of the assets used onsite.• Managing the company’s fleet, both transportation and warehousing.

Recruited by Damco, part of the AP Moller-Maersk Group, to manage and execute all government and defense logistics contracts in Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon. I was instrumental in setting up the operations team in Iraq, and coordinating across the offices in Basra, Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq to successfully deliver time sensitive cargo for the US Embassy projects throughout the country. Additionally, I designed the logistical support for the US Embassy projects in Beirut, Lebanon, coordinating with various local vendors and our international offices. I was responsible for supervising a team that included customer support, vendor management, and invoicing.Significant achievements are as follows:• Designed and Executed 1st Government Defense project for Damco in Beirut, Lebanon successfully in support of the US Embassy construction project.• Worked directly with senior management to capture new projects such as the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the Iraqi Armed Forces.• Was directly responsible for delivering over 2000 truck shipments into Iraq without having any injuries of staff or losses to cargo.• Achieving 100% accuracy in all invoicing with no overdue/outstanding on my projects.• Maintained and was responsible for relationship of one of the largest government defense customers for the Middle East.

I was recruited to be the primary point of contact for our largest defense contractor, AAFES (Army & Air Force Exchange Services), and I was responsible for coordinating the supply chain from origin through the final delivery inside Iraq via Jordan. In this role I worked with the shipping lines directly to track my containers, obtain delivery orders, coordinate the customs clearance and warehousing operations. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing price bids and submitting them to the military for the execution of retrograde trucking missions for the US military. I was also responsible for the QC/QA of the cargo in the warehouse during receiving and loading.• Coordinated all logistics to support 22 AAFES locations throughout Iraq.• Maintained above 99% shipping, picking and delivery accuracy.• Resolved all customer claims within 96 hours.• Maintained 100% billing accuracy.

I was recruited to work on Agility’s largest project, the Prime Vendor (PV) project in the Aqaba Warehouse. The project consisted of managing the entire supply chain of all food items for the US military in Iraq in support of operation Iraqi freedom. Additionally, I was responsible for supporting various U.S. Navy projects in Jordan. My initial duties included providing daily updates and monitoring, coordinating directly with vendors (trucking & customs) to the US military in Iraq, as well as ensuring the QC/QA in the warehouse for loading operations. Was promoted to the customer service representative working directly with the operations manager to ensure the smooth flow of operation, and was one of the primary point of contact for the US military.• I was awarded employee of the month in December 2007 for the entire PV project, which spanned Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, and the US.• I was awarded the employee of the year in 2009.• Multiple certificates of appreciation from the US Army, US Marine Corp. and U.S. Navy.• Coordinated the successful delivery of over 15,000 truckloads of perishable food items to the US military in various sites across Iraq.
