As an English and Social Studies Teacher at Battle Ground Public Schools, I lead classroom instruction that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills among my students. I implement project-based learning and social emotional learning strategies to engage them in authentic and meaningful tasks that address real-world issues and audiences.I hold a Master in Teaching from Washington State University, where I focused on integrating reading and writing workshop with PBL and SEL in an English-Language Arts classroom. I have four years of teaching experience that includes virtual teaching. My core competencies include training coordination, time management, and curriculum development. My goal is to show students the importance of using their voice to make positive changes in their communities and beyond.
