Electronics Project Engineer
Current• Skillfully develop and implement applications and modifications for electronic products including frontal crash sensors, rollover crash sensors, and vehicle testing systems to optimize safety and performance • Oversee the design and execution of hardware, firmware, production programmers, and software that assist with safety system diagnostics during vehicle crashes • Consistently ensure electronic design processes and products comply with SAE, ISO, and MIL specifications • Oversee the DFMEA design process while simultaneously mitigating design risks • Thoroughly perform 5Why and 8D root cause analysis, as well as EMC and environmental testing to ensure high-quality production initiatives are met • Provide valuable materials and training for new vehicle OEMs to succeed in meeting safety and efficiency goals when handling, implementing, and diagnosing pyrotechnic and electronic safety systems • Demonstrate the benefits and features of new safety systems to customers during on-site visits • Apply effective troubleshooting skills to resolve real-world vehicle electronics issues
