Managed the day to day functions of the NIF Operations Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Group for the National Ignition Facility (NIF), and also for the NIF and PS Directorate. This position combined technical and business understanding to support development, execution and continuous improvement of NIF Maintenance Programs. Responsibilities included development of business processes, daily operational support, metric reporting and data analysis in support of improving the overall work efficiency. In addition, configuration management and integration with other CIS systems. Prepared and delivered training courses for all system users. Strategic planning for system and hardware improvements.

Managed all contractor project controls requirements for the National Ignition Facility (NIF), at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Jacobs was awarded several program management contracts at Livermore, which spanned multiple $100-million-plus phases. All of these phases included direct hire construction responsibility. Planned and budgeted for annual funding requirements. Prepared task order estimates and schedules. Established and administered WBS and the cost and schedule control systems. Monitored schedule and progress using earned value analysis. Supervised a varying level of staff; worked closely with LLNL staff in a fully matrixed organization. Developed applications suitable for all reporting requirements. Assisted in work package planning and funding. Assisted with preparation of union craft payroll and checks. Extensive use of Primavera Expedition, Primavera P3, Microsoft Project, Meridian Systems Prolog Manager, and multiple LLNL PM systems
