Manage subsea equipment work scopes, for major operators, in large international field development projects, from front end engineering (FEED), through project execution, installation and commissioning.- Write technical specifications for subsea equipment, evaluated technical submissions from prospective vendors, and selected the vendor/equipment best suited to meet project requirements.- Develop the project schedule for work scope assigned, and collaborate to its integration into the overall project schedule.- Formulate project scope and cost estimates, evaluate technical and commercial submissions from prospective vendors, and participate in bid clarification and contract negotiations.- Mitigate project risks as an active participant in project HAZIDs and HAZOPs, and by providing continuous input into the project risk register throughout the execution of projects.- Supervise vendors, from the design phase, through manufacturing, testing and installation of the project deliverables, to ensure compliance to project technical and quality requirements, adherence to the project schedule, and control of costs.- Manage internal and external interfaces, with other vendors/contractors and with different disciplines/work packages within the project.- Generate technical reports, interface matrices, status updates, etc. for structured communication with project stakeholders.

Responsible for execution of the engineering phase of the project, as well as technical support during the equipment manufacturing, and test phases.- Developed detailed design layouts and indented bills of materials for project-specific equipment, as well as test procedures (FAT, EFAT, SIT), design reports, and other project-deliverable engineering documents.- Responsible for the technical accuracy of all engineering project documentation, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards (API, ASME, etc.)- Managed other engineers and designers allocated to the project, and was responsible for adherence to the project schedule.- Technical liaison to clients, organizing and facilitating design reviews and engineering update meetings, as well as submitting status reports as specified in the contract.- Provided engineering support during the manufacturing and test phases of projects, as well as during offshore installation operations, as needed.- Led the design and development of the first Guidelineless (Deepwater) Vertical Tree System developed by Dril-Quip, Inc. First system was delivered to Petrobras, who followed up with a subsequent order of 10 additional Subsea Tree Systems. The Vertical Tree System is still part of the company’s standard portfolio.

Principal engineer, responsible for the development of a new joint product-line (Jumper Connection System) between ABB Offshore Systems and ABB Vetco Gray:- Led a team of engineers and designers in the development of designs, including the design calculations, FE Analysis, generation of manufacturing drawings, qualification test procedures, and other documentation required in the development of the product-line.- Responsible for interfaces between the work being performed at ABB Offshore Systems and ABB Vetco Gray.- Provided technical input for marketing the product-line.- Led the development of the Vertical Mechanical Jumper Connection Product-Line, and successfully delivered the first system supplied for the Shell Bonga project.
