As CCO, I work in collaboration with our sales team to ensure that legal and commercial interest is upheld for ResponseTek and our clients throughout all our contractual dealings. Though negotiation and development of commercial agreements is a core function of my role, I also work to develop client retention strategies to ensure that current clients remain highly satisfied throughout the term of our engagement. As ResponseTek grew, so had my role as CFO. We expanded geographically, in the solutions we sold and client base. Gradually, our focus shifted from start-up to long term sustainability and shareholder profitability. Here, I engaged with internal and external stakeholders of the business at different levels. I worked in partnership with the executive team to develop and drive strategic initiatives to ensure that we would work smarter, not harder. On the daily, I would review commercial terms of contracts including partnership, vendor and customer contracts. As time goes on, the success stories and results become clearer. Here, I rose through the company, holding such titles as: Tax Manager, Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and Director of Business Planning. Largely these positions revolved around budgeting, negotiating contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and working with business teams for forecasting and planning.

(TSX:XLX), is a Canadian medical device company focused on the research, development and commercialization of fluorescence endoscopy for the improved detection and localization of cancer. In this role as CFO, I managed all financial responsibilities, including overseeing the accounting department, cash flow and managing investor relationships. I also played a key part in taking the company public on the TSE.
