Coats Pakistan is a subsidiary of Coats plc, U.K. which operates in over 67 countries worldwide with 90 manufacturing facilities.I worked in Coats as a programmer in the IT department. My team was responsible for developing and maintaining the in-house developed ERP based software for the employees of Coats. This ERP based software includes all accounting operations, stock management, order management, HR module etc. Initially this ERP based software was developed in VB 6.0. My team was also given the task to migrate this very system into MS Dot Net 2003 which we successfully did. I used SQL Server 2000 as a database for supporting the application.
