Growing up as a kid i was always one to wonder how electronics worked and more often than not I'd find myself opening things i shouldn't just to get a glimpse as to how they functioned. From tv remotes to laptops I quickly developed the bad habit of disassembling and trying to understand every product I came to own, sometimes to its own detriment, which led me to suppress this desire and pursue less damaging hobbies. However, there was always something in me that made me wonder, every new gadget or product that I saw or heard about, I wanted to know how they worked. And this desire eventually led me to enroll in MIEEC at FCT-UNL, which led me to completely change the way i approached my previously dangerous hobby. I could now have much more than just a low level understanding of how everything functioned. I could even build those exact same things myself, from the components to the signals I started seeing the world through a pair of glasses that wouldn't just allow me to accept that something worked, intrinsically and subconsciously I'd start to imagine how someone had developed and assembled it.However, I quickly found myself wanting to be even more engaged in my studies and so decided to change the course of my life and enroll at IST to continue my masters. During my stay I developed my passion for tinkering even further while also adapting to my new environment and discovering my love for programming.
