The mission of the AITP student chapter is to develop a better understanding of the nature and functions of information technology, to foster among students a better understanding of the role of information technology in an organization, to provide a forum for students to network with information technology professionals, IT faculty and other students, and to provide opportunities to enhance professional skills.As treasurer, I help to promote the organization on the Georgia Gwinnett College campus, as well as attend meetings, help organize events, and plan for semester success of the organization and its student members.

Instruct in the fundamental learning and understanding of Java amongst fellow students. Student led weekly lesson plans and sessions to facilitate success for all students taking beginning Java courses.

This also included presenting in panels, developing workshops, and attending professional conferences. Experience gained through this program improved technical, leadership, and communication skills.
