Teer Art is a private-sector initiative to promote modern and contemporary Iranian art through two simultaneous and sister events: Teer Art fair and Teer Art week. Teer Art aims to create a space connecting local and international galleries, art collectors, industry professionals and visitors of all stripes. From emerging artists to established Modern masters, from urban installations to panel talks, Teer Art offers a complete insight into the exciting and fast-moving world of contemporary Iranian art. Teer Art fair is the first event of its kind to showcase Iran’s most innovative contemporary and modern art galleries, encompassing a very wide range of contemporary art practices. An ambitious programming of events, dinners and talks caters to both the seasoned collector and the first-time enthusiast. 6,000 people visited Teer Art fair’s first edition in June 2018, a number we are hard at work to grow through a relevant and far-reaching presentation of Iran’s rich artistic community. The next edition of this art fair is being planned for June 2019. Teer Art week is a week-long celebration of culture taking place throughout Tehran and featuring an ambitious gallery program, urban art installations, curated panel talks, studio visits, immersive experiences and much more. Its inauguration edition will be held between 4-11 January 2019 and enable local and international visitors to discover and learn about contemporary Iranian art practices, interact with local artists and enjoy the city through a curated art route. From 2020 onwards, Teer Art fair and Teer art week will be held concurrently.
