Nina has 20 years of varying experience in the design and construction industries. Experience which has provided her the opportunity to develop knowledge of design and construction principles, implementation methods, project management and leadership skills. With a Bachelor of Architecture and special interests ranging from theme parks and experiential design to historic preservation, Nina has extensive experience in all stages of projects; from conducting research and designing to preparing presentations and cost estimates, coordinating with various consultants, as well as, observing construction.  Nina has been Project Manager for a variety of project types which include: Custom/High end Residential, Hillside, Commercial, Single and Multi‐family residential, Historic Rehabilitation and Preservation, Adaptive Reuse, Mixed‐Use, Tenant Improvements, Child Care Centers, Medical Centers, Institutional, Museums and most recently, Theme Parks.  More specifically, she was the Show Set Design Manager for Bollywood Parks and Motiongate theme parks in Dubai for RIVA, Lead Technical Designer for the Nature Lab exhibit at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles (THEA Award 2015), as well as, for Super Silly Fun Land for Universal Studios in Hollywood, which included the overseeing of fabrication, for Lexington. As Project Manager for The Hettema Group, her most notable project was the oversight from Schematic Design through Construction of the DreamWorks Water Park at the American Dream mega mall in New Jersey. After being promoted to Design Director, Facility & Show for The Hettema Group, Nina led the show set and facility integration team on several projects, the largest of which is a brand new theme park for Universal in Orlando. Currently, Nina is a Senior Facility Design Manager for Universal Creative, Hollywood as well as the Owner/Design Principal for NiTch Design Group, specializing in residential and small commercial design.
