Brayfoil Technologies is an innovative aerospace company that has developed the world's first commercially viable, fully adaptive morphing wing, with applications in renewable energy, aerospace, automotive and other industries. As an Independent Director on the Board, I oversaw strategic business management, decision-making & compliance, contributed towards raising $3m in investment and forging partnerships with research institutes and corporate clients, and advised on development, production and technical evaluation of scaled wind turbines to validate efficacy and performance of Brayfoil's patented airfoil technology.

Leading learning design and facilitation of project-based K-8 STEM curricula, integrating computer science (from Block-based to AI), mechanical engineering, electronics and robotics concepts, as well as providing technical advice to Academic management and STEM educators on EdTech integration and efficacy towards increasing learner engagement and academic performance.

As a one of the founding directors, my initial responsibilities involved registering the entity as a non-profit, and inducting key advisors and members into the Board of Directors. Currently, I am responsible for driving the vision, strategy and fundraising operations of the organisation. I also advise the Foundation's CEO on the execution of daily operations, logistics and advocacy efforts.

I founded CRSP dsgn in late 2016 with the aim of democratising access to quality 21st century education for children in South Africa, and the rest of the developing world, through the introduction of affordable educational robotics and STEM resources. Over the years, I have focused on building a team of skilled professionals, developing the product and business as well as raising funding for growth. My role has evolved to include strategic management, product management, funder & partner engagement, as well as business development.

Co-led development of vision, mission and strategic planning for 2022-2023 initiatives; Attracted and engaged community of 92 current and aspiring Harvard University startup founders; Managed operational activities and budget; Hosted 6 entrepreneurial development masterclasses ranging from Disruptive Innovation to Strategic Finance; Planned and hosted annual campus-wise 2023 HIVE Startup Pitch Competition.

Co-led 12 board members; Attracted and engaged 53 community members; Managed operational activities and budget with Office of Student Affairs; Planned and hosted 2 professional development workshops; Managed partnerships with alumni and external EdTech experts.

Conferred as a 2020 Fellow of the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance (HEA), a group of African visionaries, entrepreneurs & innovators who made a life-long pledge “to work together as one” to unlock the potential of Africa. To date, the HEA has founded a series of impactful tech ventures such as Andela, Flutterwave & Yoco; created 3000+ jobs; raised $400m+ in funding from the likes of Google Ventures, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Jack Ma; and established a network of pan-African startups valued at over $3 Billon.

Developed Grade K-9 Coding & Robotics curricula with South African government and contributed to refinement of Grade 10-12 Digital Skills curricula, through multiple stages of curriculum policy design sprints and development workshops with inputs from industry, civil society and the general public.

Assisted the EdHub Innovation Unit with 21st Century Curriculum research & development within their Sandbox Schools Project on an ad-hoc basis. In addition to this, I also acted as a representative on behalf of the organisation with various public and private sector partners, as well as provided strategic and technical advisory to management on various occasions.

Advised MIET Africa's Executive Management and senior management teams through the development of an innovative technology strategy for internal business operations, and programmes across the SADC (Southern African Development Community) region.

I was primarily involved in the design and analysis of aerodynamic systems for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Missile systems. I developed algorithms and computational functions (in MATLAB, C, and Python) for aerodynamic data analysis, as well as utilised CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software for simulations. Furthermore, I was involved in the planning and implementation of Wind Tunnel Tests for some new aerodynamic designs.

In 2017, I was nominated to become a Chairperson for Denel Dynamics Youth Forum (DDYF). An election was carried out across the organisation with employees who were 35 years of age and under, which resulted in my successful appointment into the position.As a representative of the young people within the organisation, I was tasked with engaging directly with Executive Management such as the CEO, CTO, Head of HR and Head of Communications. I sat on numerous Executive Committee (EXCO) meetings and Group engagement, in order to contribute inputs and insights to senior management on matters relating to youth within the organisation.

During my tenure as Chairperson of the DDYF, I initiated the establishment of the Innovation Forum, after realising that the organisation was losing its competitiveness within the Aerospace and Defense industry. The Innovation Forum initially included members of the DDYF, but this expanded to include the organisation's Chief Systems Engineer, CTO and a number of other senior engineers. As the Innovation Forum, we began work on the development of a strategy and technology platform to facilitate intrapreneurship by crowd sourcing ideas for new products and improved processes, and enabling innovators within the organisation to connect directly with senior business and technical management. As the mission progressed, Denel Group board members and management caught wind of the initiative, and it was proposed that the Innovation Forum be extended beyond the constraints of Denel Dynamics to become Group-wide.

Completed the Graduate Engineering Internship Program, focusing on Project Management, Systems Engineering, Fibre Reinforced Composite Structural Design, Aerodynamics and Aeronautics.

I was invited to give a 45 minute long Keynote Address at the 6th annual AVI AFRIQUE Africa Aviation Innovation Summit. The 2017 Summit aimed to explore infrastructure development and participation of startups and small medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) within the aviation market to contribute towards the economic development and growth of Africa. My Keynote Address kicked off the day, with a focus on recommending practical strategies and approaches to implement to foster innovation within Africa's Aerospace and Aviation industry.

Selected as one of 100 Brightest Young Minds (BYM) in Africa. BYM is a non-profit organisation that identifies, connects and mobilizes Africa's most talented and driven youths to thrive as individuals and as a network. BYM encourages responsible leadership and initiatives that will create positive societal impact.I attended the 2016 annual, week-long summit together with 99 other talented delegates. We were awarded the opportunity to interact with some of Africa's top leaders such as Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe, Stephen van Coller (CEO, CIB, Barclays Africa) Eugene Booysen (CIO, Barclays Africa), Sazini Mojapelo (Head of Citizenship, Barclays Africa ), Warren Hero (CTO, Microsoft South Africa), Vonani Mathebula (Founder, Brains Empowerment Media), Rohitesh Dhawan (Associate Director, Sustainability Services, KPMG), Angel Jones (Founder, Homecoming SA & Founding Member, Entrepreneurs Organisation South Africa), Kerryn Krige (Leader in Social Entrepreneurship, GIBS), Willem van der Post (Managing Partner - Deloitte Center for the Edge Africa at Deloitte), and Rudi Kruger (Founder, INDeX Innovation Group) amongst others.In addition, we as the 2016 BYM delegates, were placed into 8 different teams, and we were tasked with the mandate to design and develop successful social enterprises to address social, cultural or economic challenges facing the continent. I was part of the SharED team, and we won second place overall at the 2016 BYM Summit.

Developed the high-level operational requirements analysis and preliminary conceptual design for new UAS facility, using various computational tools.

Developed basic Aerodynamics and Flight Dynamics simulation models for specific aircraft using Matlab and open-source flight simulation software.

Developed lift-support mechanism concept design for specific aircraft.

Worked as a cashier serving customers, as well as merchandising stock and facilitating product placement in-store.
