NULIBETH ORTIZ is an interdisciplinary artist with a Diploma in Performance and Early Education from the National Conservatory of Music of Dominican Republic, and a Bachelor in Architecture from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, DR. In 2010, she debuted with Elgar Concerto accompanied by the Dominican National Symphony Orchestra, became a member of its cello section, and since then, plays for outstanding performances: Pagliacci, La Boheme, La Traviata, Beethoven 9 and Mahler 2, among others. This active performer and cello teacher has represented her homeland multiples occasions, such as Traveling Notes 2008 Peru and 2009 USA, with the chamber group La Hispaniola in 2012 in Haiti, and recently in the Young Euro Classic Music Festival 2019 Germany as guest country. She continues her craft with Professor Felix Umansky as recipient of the Excellence in Performance Cello Playing Scholarship of Fundación Por la Música.
