Holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. Spent many years in the field of biomedical engineering in the Caribbean and Europe. Pioneered the use of diagnostic medical ultrasound in the 1980's. Senior project manager for several large construction projects in the Caribbean. Responsible for the introduction of stem cell technology in the Caribbean, was made a Fellow of the Association of professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago in 2014.
