I live to make meaningful connections and contribute to a better world. My passion for biology has allowed me to work with a variety of living beings, including fish, microalgae, parasites, viruses and men, and to delve into the molecular mechanisms behind fundamental biological processes. Specifically, I have focused on areas such as development, photosynthesis, host-pathogen interactions, and more recently, on human helper T cell differentiation and TCR signaling in the fields of Immunology, Cell signalling, RNA biology, Transcriptomics and Systems Biology. I have managed projects, the lab where I was doing my PhD research and the coast of Cascais in Portugal, with the help of a lot of people of course. My research has given me a unique perspective on the diversity of life and has inspired me to seek out ways to improve the lives of all living beings. In addition to conducting research, I have also had the opportunity to share my knowledge of biology by teaching Cambridge IGCSE and AICE students and Natural Sciences, Physics and Chemistry in a Portuguese school, ages 13-15.And that takes me to where I am now. I feel I am at my best when dealing with people, building things, and create something, if something new perfect. This can be done in many contexts. For the last years I have been freelancing and learning about business, finance, investment, crypto and the tech industry. And always science.
