BIOTEC is a Belgian company in the renewable energies sector for biogas generation in the tropics. It works in close relation with major agro-industrial players, building and operating facilities for renewable energy generation from agro-industrial waste. Responsible for the financial and operational monitoring of renewable energy projects in LatAm, Africa and Asia, as well as for structuring global management tools which allowed for group-wide KPI follow-up. This involved data-driven project management in order to develop and implement cross-functional tools across the Group. Other key tasks included valuing potential new projects and designing viable financial strategies for new renewable energy ventures and projects.

Advised a fintech startup in developing a digital platform for delivering personal finance advisory services over a digital platform. This project won the Cali BBVA Open Talent Fintech Competition, NXTP Lab’s incubator program and was funded by Y-Combinator. It is currently expanding operations throughout LatAm.

Yangon, Myanmar And Kathmandu, Nepal

ACTED is an international development agency headquartered in Paris and present in 35 countries worldwide. It provides technical assistance in development- and humanitarian-related projects.Responsible for all financial and administrative matters of ACTED’s country offices in Myanmar and Nepal (budget > 8m USD). This included the financial monitoring of all ongoing projects; foreseeing and planning overall company cash flows; reporting to international donors (USAID, ECHO, etc.); approving project expenses; and overseeing payroll and other administrative duties. This was done through the direct supervision of a 5-person team.

OXUS belongs to the ACTED Group and is a leading international network of microfinance banks (MFIs) with a team of 1,000 staff operating in Central Asia and Africa and a consultancy and steering team based in Paris. Main responsibilities included monitoring operations of a network of microfinance banks throughout four countries (Afghanistan, Kirghizstan, Tajikistan and the DRC), building the Group’s 4-year financial projections, and overseeing the Group’s Internal Audit operations.
