My educational background is in law and criminology. I worked for some years in this field and then moved on to dedicate myself more fully to non-profit organizational management, where I believe that I could have a more significant impact.From 2015, I've been engaged with the Portuguese Vegetarian Association (AVP), a portuguese NGO that promotes a plant-based diet, and I've assumed the role of director in the organizational board of directors since 2016. I've been particularly involved in political lobbying, and between 2015 and 2016 I've put forward a campaign effort that eventually led to the approval of a groundbreaking law that mandates the provision of strict vegetarian meals in all Portuguese public facilities.I'm also the co-founder of Portugal sem Touradas, a network project that aims to ban bullfighting from the portuguese culture. In 2018 this project won the Orçamento Participativo 2018 (Budget for citizen initiatives) after being the second most voted initiative on a national level, earning a 150k prize.I'm also the co-founder of The Kind Lab, a vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics production company based in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal.
