Developed a heat exchanger, which will allow for the design of spot-coolers for very high-power microelectronics and heat sources such as solid state directed energy devices. Designed and built a test rig in order to achieve efficient data collection. High boiling performance and heat flux values are achieved with an increase in flow rate and superheat in thicker screen laminate test articles. 2.5-fold increase in thermal performance is obtained with two-phase flow over single-phase flow.
