The UCSC Intra-American Slave Trade Database program in partnership with Slave Voyages introduces undergraduate student interns to historical data collection and data logging. The first three weeks of the program were spent at UCSC where interns learned about the slave trade, the Intra-American Slave Trade Database, and relevant research methods. As a library page I organized library media for re-shelving as well as occasionally aided librarians in checking out library material to patrons. I also helped patrons locate resources in the library and on virtual library databases.
