Conveniently located in the Lansing Mall, Socialight Society is a local independent bookshop, celebrating Black women and Black literature. We curate classic, contemporary, and children’s titles predominately authored by Women of Color, who often lack representation in traditional bookstores.

As a Freelance Technical and Administrative Support Specialist, I provide comprehensive support to startup businesses by preparing and editing documents, reports, and presentations, conducting internet research to gather information on specific topics, and assisting with customer inquiries and support requests. Additionally, I manage social media accounts by creating and scheduling content, and assist clients in prioritizing tasks and managing project schedules. I also specialize in website design and maintenance using platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify, catering to various small businesses and organizations, including Flamingo Society Stationery, Michigan Southwest Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction COGIC, North Star Doulas, and Tabernacle of David Church.

Coordinated and managed the National Director of Black Campus Ministries calendar, scheduling and organizing meetings, and appointments. Attended meetings and accurately transcribed detailed meeting minutes, capturing key discussions, action items, and decisions. Facilitated communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of events and engagements.
