Introduced a transformational Agile way of working to the British Red Cross, starting with the Community Education directorate. Set up two product development squads, introducing Scrum and Kanban to structure their work. Coached the Head of Education, Product Owners, and squad members on their introduction to Agile, various tools and techniques they could use and general guidance and encouragement along the way. Worked to streamline dependencies on non-Agile directorates to enable the squads to be able to deliver constant product improvements. Presented on various topics such as estimation, Product Ownership and Agile basics to executives and staff.

Coaching teams at MyVoucherCodes (part of the GoCo group) on agile values and principals, both with software development teams and through the whole business to ensure the entire alignment and create a truly agile business. • Transformation of software development processes and policies to create highly effective squads, who deliver value often and are able to adapt to change along the way • Scrum Master facilitation activities for multiple squads within the Tech Tribe • Coaching individuals and teams to create an Agile mindset, introducing best practices, new ways of working and identifying areas for improvement

Presented on Agile values and frameworks. Created and defined the Aspen approach, designed processes and guides for company-wide use. Facilitated and coached teams delivering Agile projects.

Transformed Vitamin London into an Agile design studio with multiple Scrum teams, delivering websites and apps using various technologies (React, Node.js, PHP, etc.), for a broad range of clients from horse racing to space rental. My achievements: • Instilled Agile principles, introduced Scrum for large projects and Kanban for BAU projects to help the team increase their velocity • Coached management, clients and two cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products • Facilitated Standups, Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospective meetings • Proactively removed team impediments to allow the team to deliver sprint goals and deliverables • Facilitated team Retrospectives to build good working relationships and ensure continual improvement • Collaborated with Scrum team members and Product Owners to develop and maintain Product Backlogs

Seconded to the UK to establish SilverStripe’s first global office in Europe. • Account management including sales negotiation, client management, contract writing and ongoing relationship management • Promotion and demo of SilverStripe CMS and selling SilverStripe Platform (PaaS) direct to clients at conferences and various trade events • Organised the StripeCon EU conference, which generated the highest number of leads of any conference SilverStripe has ever run/attended

Championed Agile principles and the Scrum framework. Responsible for mentoring/coaching 15 resources working together to deliver complex web projects for external clients.• Skinny Mobile – skinny.co.nz – $1.2mFacilitated a team of 15 people comprised of designers from a partner design agency, internal developers and an end client based in another city. Ran regular Scrum ceremonies, managed stakeholders across 3 organisations and provided conflict resolution with developers across 2 supplier agencies.• NZ Transport Agency – nzta.govt.nz – $900kWorked closely with external design agency to translate the designer's ideas into deliverable development tasks. Effectively demonstrated what a successful, highly effective Scrum team looks like to a pessimistic client, resulting in being used as an example for other internal NZTA projects.• Meridian Energy – meridianenergy.co.nz – $720kPlaced onto this project the month before go-live to bring it back on track and resolve fundamental issues with the process and team. Worked with Head of Digital and other senior management to create a plan to get project back on track and was then responsible for ensuring it was successful. Reorganised the team, reinstated Scrum ceremonies, then refined and prioritised the backlog with the PO.

• Delivered creative design solutions for Westpac Bank’s new online banking site, Victims Information, Plunket, and SilverStripe’s own site. • Implemented designs into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and implemented back-end with SilverStripe, PHP, MySQL on these and other projects. • Visual and functional testing, writing concise bug reports on a complex online gaming site – MyLotto.
