A teleoperated all-wheel drive mobile robotic platform with independent suspension, Ackerman steering, hydraulic brakes, and optical and ultrasonic sensors for navigation and collision avoidance. This prototype was built for last-mile delivery research in inclement weather.

Many of our day-to-day devices, appliances, and vehicles, require the use of batteries. A major issue, however, is our inability to quickly and safely charge them while maintaining a long lifespan. This was done by empowering employers in assessing manual labor tasks, with the use of a sensor-embedded apparel, in receiving risk reports on improper muscle activation and movements. Designs included solar panel assemblies and low-cost frames using SolidWorks.2) Leading and documenting prototype builds for certification, testing, and manufacturing. Tasks included gathering requirements from stakeholders, initially building a couple on my own, documenting the outcomes and using it to create documentation for the factory to build a few more, and then documenting the outcomes from that as well.3) Running validation tests on materials, parts, and prototypes with the solar laboratory.4) Creating an inventory system that kept track of prototyping materials and optimized the amount of storage space used. Resulted in the department saving over $48,000 in energy and storage costs. 5) Communicating with multiple suppliers and working with the SCM team to ensure the speedy arrival of critical prototyping materials. 6) Coordinating with certification bodies like TUV in getting production-ready prototypes certified.
