With 20 experiences in public health and socio-economic development programs, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation in Africa (West, Central and southern regions) and South Asia, he has been designing monitoring and evaluation to support UNAIDS with quality data in leading the tailored Global AIDS response. In the last 12 years, he has been working for UNAIDS and delivered in many countries (Benin, DRC, Namibia, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal) by strengthening health information systems, empowering communities in measurement of societal change, tracking progress, and conducting robust evaluation and development HIV national strategic plans and proposals. He has been engaging and leveraging strategic partnership with donors (Global Funds and PEPFAR and bilateral) to strengthen the capacity of national counterparts (government, civil society organizations and private sector) on result-based management, AIDS impact modelling, intersection inequalities and data use to understand the status, trends of HIV epidemic inequalities and societal barriers to inform robust planning and budgeting. Before UNAIDS in 2012, he was working for ALCO known as West Africa HIV Multi-country program -Abidjan Lagos Corridor at position of monitoring and Evaluation specialist. Osseni has full professional proficiency in English and French, holds 2 master’s degrees in Statistics and Public health, and bachelor's degrees in planning and informatics which skill him with relevant ability to understand systems development, expertise in large program data analysis/synthesis and designing innovative ways to advocate for use of data and guiding impactful decision making. He is pursuing a master's degree in data science at University of Colorado Bulder (USA). He is eager to learn and share knowledge to support international development programs in developing countries and humanitarian settings.

  National capacity building and coordination: a. I identify, promote, and reinforce capacity needs of national counterparts in surveillance, data collection, data analysis, reporting and using evidence for programming and pandemic preparedness in the four countries of South Asia. Builds capacities to focus responses to relevant geographical areas and key populations in the four countries of South Asia. b. I work with national counterparts in the four countries of South Asia to strengthen surveillance and monitoring systems including health information systems with attention to the quality of data including the use of unique identifiers. c. I promote data systems and survey tools for policies and programs in the four countries of South Asia.Strategic analysis, programmatic and policy advice: a. I coordinate and influences the prioritization, process, and technical aspects of a wide array of data collection, compilation, and analysis related to epidemiology, policies, program coverage and resources, in view of informing future program efforts in the four countries of South Asia. b. I performs modelling and analysis of surveillance, policy and program monitoring data on trends and geographic location of the epidemic and response including through the use of standard estimation tools in view of detecting and monitoring inequalities in the four countries of South AsiaContributions to global processes a. I facilitate and coordinates monitoring and reporting at the national level and contribute data and analyses to the regional and global level.
