Drove change in highly risk-adverse culture. Launched H.Samuel ecommerce business in 8 months (ahead of US business). Achieved online sales above plan despite difficult retail climate, becoming largest 'store' in the chain within 2 months of launch.

Boutique consulting firm specialising in retail. Advised large retailers such as B&Q, BT, Mothercare, Lakeland and market entrants/startups like Bodas on strategy, operations and technology. I focused on on ecommerce/multi-channel retail. Mix of strategy and interim management projects, including a 6 month secondment to British Telecom's direct to consumer business.

Online retailer of children's products, IdeaLab company, one of the big successes & failures of the dotcom boom of the 1990s. I set up eToys Germany from business plan to full operation, reporting to VP of International, with responsibility for budget, strategy, product and website development, recruiting, property, contracts/legal. Led cross-functional team of 40 from German, UK, Belgian, US offices. Product manager for 2 stores on eToys.co.uk, jointly responsible with buyers for store strategy, range planning, online merchandising, store P&L.
