I have brought multiple companies to life as full Internet participants, including the Vancouver Internet Exchange as founding Chairman. I also built and still maintain the network for Skyway West, one of Western Canada’s longest serving ISPs, founded in 1995.As an information technology professional, I’m highly skilled in Network Design, Cisco/Juniper & OSS products, Data Centres, Virtualization, BGP, IPv6 and network programming. I have been a lone hand, a team leader, a trainer and mentor - and always a student, as new technologies replace the old.I take special pleasure in untangling legacy systems for simplicity and stability, and designing an upgrade path for production networks. I build cost-effective, best current practices networks, and I’m always looking for new challenges as a consultant architect and hands-on engineer.
