My primary purpose was to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. I develop and implement Spanish lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district’s curriculum program and prepared lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in individual students. I work with other members of staff and English partner teacher to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods for our grade level agenda.

At Mission Central Village Library I worked as the Assistant Director for the nonprofit library. This provided me the opportunity to assist in the Mission Central tutoring program, such as assigning specific educational school work for grades first to third, and tutoring individual students. I gather information about children’s grades, learning styles, and challenges during the academic year to assess and improve their tutoring experience. The students also had weekly arts and crafts centered around specific homeroom themes. I also was lead of the tennis program that was free of charge to the families and taught by volunteers at the Hurt Tennis Center. I assist in providing direction and supervision to the over 20 Village Library volunteers, among other duties as assigned.

My roles as a customer service representative were primary in assisting in checking in and out materials, processing payments, shelving books when patrons return items, and helping process new materials. As side projects, I helped planned and conducted children’s programs and services of the library under the supervision of the children's librarian. I crafted attractive displays and settings to encourage reading. I helped in answering reference questions for patrons and providing reader’s advisory. I also assist in the inventory and weeding of the library collection.
