I teach 120 sixth, seventh and eighth graders. My curriculum includes drawing painting, clay and crafts. I am also a seventh grade adviser, which includes student , parent conferences twice a year. I write three week reports for all students along with report cards three times a year. In May I organize an art show for all of the students for Art & Music night.
I worked three years as a part time art instructor for the wonderful partners summer program. I taught drawing, painting and model building to middle school students. The program ran five days a week for a month. The program ended with an art show for the students and their families.
I worked as an art teacher and docent for the Jr. Center of Art and Science. Schools could visit our facility for an art, or science lesson. Throughout the year I acted as a docent for two 90 minute exhibits, one being a lesson on the California Native Americans, the other a Celebration on African American Inventors. I also drove to schools throughout the bay area teaching art and science.
