Since early childhood I've always been (probably way too much!) into cars. Although the coveted job of racing driver was expectedly out of reach, this passion progressively led me to coding. I still remember how I used to design skins for cars and mod them into old mobile and PC games.I've began tinkering with web development and after high school, enrolled to VUT. I completed my first year with focus on programming, but then switched to IT management and simultaneously began working in Expect-IT to attain real-world experience.I started my professional career by writing unit tests and quickly pivoted to web design and then frontend development. In my time in Expect-IT, I've been primarily working on building and improving a robust enterprise platform deployed across many different fields and differently sized businesses. I've been tasked with implementing responsivity into said platform, oftentimes having to rebuild or work around legacy code. I’ve also progressively created multiple UI versions, app modules and JavaScript features for specific customers, be it dynamic forms, map interfaces, filesystem managers, diagram canvas-based editors, data visualization features etc., often working within customer or government-provided design systems.I'm accustomed to working within a small team, utilizing agile methods and standard software like Gitlab for rapid simultaneous development across many projects, while working side-by-side with our Graphic / UX designer, utilizing tools like Figma to create modern-looking and useful solutions for our users. I’ve also set up a company discord server during covid and trained coworkers on using it, improving our productivity and communication while working separately from home.I've also experimented with Angular, React and Vue, creating prototypes to help decide on a future frontend framework for the platform. React.js piqued my interest the most, prompting me to focus on it both in my work and free time, orienting my future career in this direction.
