My primary responsibilities are the architectural design and team management of the Dynamic Frameworks to Fill 3D topology, volumetric, and mapping engine. Development is done primarily in Java.My responsibilities include ongoing management and performance reviews of a team consisting of 5-12 developers; recruitment, interviewing, and junior developer mentoring; agile management of feature backlog, kanban progression, code reviews, and team scrum; architectural design of our key differentiating technologies including IP management and patenting, implementation of data adapting, preprocessing, relational instruction querying, modeling, and analysis systems; release scheduling and cross team advising for 5 other development teams that use our technology, and workflow recommendations, defect triage, and direct client issue mitigation

This position focused on the design, development, and support for a proprietary hardware monitoring and management system. Development was done in C++\CLI, VB, C#, .NET2, WPF, and .NET4. My responsibilities included client-side USB and RF communication to the various hardware components, data caching and token processing to accommodate a non-real-time OS, and automated recovery from hardware failures and communication interruptions.I additionally handled UI design, implementation, and documentation; hardware simulators and automated test suites, custom data importers and reconciliation for integration with other operators, high performance auto-correlation and stacking utilities, replacement of custom controls with multi-threaded sortable/filterable counterparts, and design and prototyping of a self-assigning distributed computing system for large field operations.

As a project manager I created learning environments for students, teachers, and industry employees in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. This included independent workshops and grants: Bechtel K-5 Excellence Initiative, GK-12 Learning Partnerships (NSF), Broadening Female Participation in Computing (NSF), Physical Science and Math in the Classroom (DOE), and Futures in Energy (DOE). Key responsibilities included creating and arranging content for continuing education workshops and summer / after school programs; training and overseeing teams of undergraduate and graduate students to teach workshops and programs; preparing and teaching hands-on classroom activities during the school year and at education conferences, restructuring workshops for online education modules, managing project budgets and external fund raising/lobbying to continue programs after grants expired, assessing project performance and authoring project reports, overseeing undergraduate research in education, planning and overseeing international learning trips, placing high school students that completed workshops in industry internships, and designing and maintaining project web sites and recruitment materials.As an adjunct instructor I prepared my own lectures, projects, and exams for teaching undergraduate courses in C++, data structures, and algorithms. I worked with other faculty to incorporate my lessons into a general redesign of the department curriculum including self-paced online content. I also gave guest lectures in computer graphics courses and multidisciplinary engineering courses.
