Scout, Machine Learning Jun 2017 – Apr 2019 Scout is a unique product created to protect Publishers and website visitors by identifying and filtering out malicious ads. Developed using Node.Js, ExpressJs and Chrome Devtools Protocol it has a distinctively far reaching design that surveys websites unnoticed, manually intercepting and modifying headers, injecting code and even processing packets with Snort, a leading open source security solution. I gained invaluable experience understanding the abilities, limitations and use cases of current award-winning object detection models such as ResNet, RCNN, YOLO.A full pipeline and interface for preparing data using Node.Js, SailsJs, Mysql and Python, training and deploying different models was developed on inhouse hardware as a service able to process over 10 images per second. Continuous Deployment was achieved through custom system that used Github push notifications triggering the latest code to be pulled down on branch updates.Remote Sensor May 2019 – Jun 2019LoPy4 Device programmed in Python to periodically wake up, control a relay and take measurements and send data over LoRa to a server. The backend was deployed on a Orange Pi Zero hosting a Vue.Js App with a custom interface with historical charting and controls backed on Mysql.Active Trading System July 2019 – Jan 2020Developed data and process critical system to actively trade stocks based on an algorithm. This project was data intensive in terms of the number of historical records and speed for back testing the algorithm. The product had several components written in Node.js and Python, later adapted to C# for speed. A Mysql database was used and with proper data design, indexing and queries over a billion rows of market data were stored and accessed. Interactive Brokers was the API and Gateway that was used to run the algorithm, run historical back testing as well as live trading.

Entirely owned and developed myself, to help hang gliding pilots share thermal information real-time via an augmented view Google Play App and Live Web Interface. Murmation – Google Play Android AppDeveloped Augmented-View Mobile App for Hang Gliding written in Unity (C#) with native Android SDK plugins. Enables pilots to visualize and track their flight path in 3D, as well as synchronizing data real-time with other gliders, thus enabling the ability to track, share and find thermals better. System is feature packed, from calculating and estimating glide ratio, customizing gliders and colors, variometer with all new and customizable beeping algorithm. IGC flight data file export, automatic posting to Facebook of live flights. The server is set up on Amazon AWS with autoscaling as well as Cloudflare to distribute content, written in NodeJs and backed by Mysql. Murmation Viewer – https://murmation.com/flight/5700Website for viewing historic and live flights developed with the combination of AngularJs and CesiumJs. Multiple worker threads are often invoked for compressing or uncompressing 3d Models to local storage, or calculate Bezier curves for the flight path. Youtube Api is used to enhance viewing the flights with synced up videos to the time navigation.

Info Web, Pass Web, Com Web Products Oct 2015 – Nov 2016Responsible for developing the new “Generation 3” product line for Trapeze including 3 of the most major products using AngularJS. Reverse engineered proprietary SOAP communications between services and was able to develop Node.js services to communicate with these existing systems. Demonstrated great skill through algorithms such as managing many Google Maps objects, providing high performance and quick response on mobile devices. The result of my work is that the new product line is highly recognized and being sold to dozens of large and satisfied customers. Additionally, we are very successfully maintaining one code base instead of needing to make many duplicate bug fixes as was the previous process. General Tickets Sep 2015, Nov 2016 – Jun 2017Responsible for customizing and deploying Generation 3 products to new clients. I also completed tasks in all aspects of the technology stack. Some of the tasks were on the backend which was written in C++ with the Microsoft Foundation Class library and others were bug fixes and maintenance on the frontend for clients with older Generation 1 and 2 deployments. We had daily standups and Tickets were managed in JIRA and code maintained in SVN.

Carehawk provides safety communication systems for schools including district wide communication and alert distribution. A branch of Carehawk’s remote Symbiont units was developed in C#. A third party USB relay and switch was integrated into the application allowing the end customer to trigger local and remote alerts.

Donor Tracker Management Studio Oct 2014 – July 2015Developed Donor Tracker Studio to manage and track donors. Developed with AngularJs and Node.js backed by Mysql, a full suite of features and reporting was developed. A Full Migration process was developed and successfully deployed upon final installation with hundreds of millions of records. The source data was pulled from a proprietary FoxPro system.Real Estate Management Studio July 2014 – Nov 2014Developed and migrated data into a custom Real Estate Management Studio database tool used to store apartment details, track sales information, display via Google Maps API. It was written in Node.JS and the Sails MVC framework with libraries such as Bootstrap, FontAwesome, and many jQuery Libraries such as Datatables.js, Underscore.js, and Backbone.js.Baggage Handling Management Studio Feb 2014 – July 2014 Developed BHS Now Management Studio, a combination of software programs and services that enables efficiently running baggage handling systems at airports. This software suite supports MSSQL and MySQL platforms and includes a custom reporting platform. The web application user interface was developed in C#, Java, Node.js, HTML, CSS3, and Javascript and communicated to PLC devices via TCP/IP modules. Unity 3D Game Engine (C#) was used to emulate the bag flow through custom designed airports and drive the PLC inputs as a simulation tool, thus allowing for off-site testing. SCADA Development Feb 2013 – Jan 2014Developed a custom SCADA system for Welded Tube of Canada with components written in C# and PHP. This application was a combination of a web-based user facing application for control, dashboarding, report generation and real-time system feedback display. Decompiling code written by a 3rd party service company allowed for streamlining development. A Barcode scanner client was developed in Microsoft Compact Framework on a Motorola device for managing inventory.

Developed and launched GetQ’d software service for the hospitality/entertainment industry that acted as a modern way to manage line ups at restaurants and nightclubs. This service required the development and deployment of HTML5 compliant PHP web applications, iOS Apps, and Android Apps for use by the end customers. All of these applications were driven by a custom MySQL relational database design, running on Linux Amazon EC2 scalable servers. Some specific features of this software included SMS integration using Twilio, Facebook integration and real-time queue projection algorithms.

A subscribe and unsubscribe widget was also developed within an existing application tying an existing database system and Campaign Monitor together.

Written in Java and using Vaadin as a framework, a real-time server-side driven application met the needs of the customer providing multiple concurrent logins. This program also generated accounting paperwork and managed inventory levels. The software application runs on a Windows Server running MySQL.

YapBoard is a social stream consolidation platform used at large events to encourage crowd sourced marketing. Using the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram APIs, YapBoard parses out user posts, texts and images through multiple image hosting sites. A modern management control system allows users to remotely drag and drop to reorder, auto-moderate and dynamically post advertisements. YapBoard used CodeIgniter as a PHP framework. Recently rewrote in Node.js with the Sails.Js framework and implemented video support with Angular JS as a client-side framework.
