I currently manage a program supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). This contract supports the Sensor Directorates’s Spectrum Warfare Division (AFRL/RYW). The key objective of the team is to develop the science and technology to discover cyber vulnerabilities and design cyber protections for avionics systems. This is a diverse team of computer and electrical engineers which stand up military and commercial avionics testbeds, develop reverse engineering tools, demonstrate the impact an adversary can have on mission assurance, and develop mitigations and protections for avionics systems.• Top Secret Security Clearance/SCI• Assist to develop customer vision, understand customer needs and establish project goals for customer success• Responsible for planning, budgeting and scheduling on-site program activities to meet customer requirements. • Technical Project Leader for multiple projects utilizing 8 software engineers. Responsible for all aspects of project management including: identifying customer requirements and objectives, establishing milestones and schedules, coordinating and prioritizing team tasks, tracking and providing status updates to customer and management. • Worked with client and avionics experts in the development of an avionics test bed system. Led team in the reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of the avionics infrastructure.• Led software team in the integration of hardware-in-the-loop for a flagship avionics simulation program. Responsible for establishing milestones, developing communications software and managing project execution.• Captured customer concept and developed the vision and requirements for a network tool which detects anomalies in the avionics network traffic to indicate potential intrusions. Guided team to create initial proof of concept system including the development of the backend functionality and a user interface which communicates the criticality of what is detected. • Managed projects researching vulnerability assessment and exploitation.• Participated in software development with team in multiple projects.• Managed internal research and development (IR&D) efforts for Cyber Physical Systems. Programs were competitively awarded for three consecutive years for a total project value of $650K. Led the team in the development of a vulnerability assessment methodology and prototype framework which was demonstrated using TCP/IP and automotive networks.• Wrote Final Reports and Proposals.

Responsible for the regression testing of newly developed embedded software for high speed ink jet printing system. This was a temporary assignment which utilized my established reputation and product knowledge from previous work with this company.

• Collaborated with team of engineers to establish specifications and requirements of new features and releases for embedded machine control software. • Increased speed of critical calibration sequence by 30%. This included software improvements in image processing, addition of Digital Signal Processing algorithm and integration of hardware.• Conceptualized reporting feature to improve field evaluation of critical calibration sequence.• Developed Linux (2.4, 2.6 kernel) and Solaris drivers for proprietary PCI bus communication cards to provide new solutions to the market. Maintained Solaris SBUS drivers.• Customized Linux Kernel with specific instrumentation to aid in the debugging of new hardware. • Researched and obtained various tools ( LTT, Vmetro PCI Bus Analyzer and KGDB) to evaluate and debug software and its interaction with the hardware. • Implemented GUI features to Pre Press software (MFC) and embedded software (Qt) using C++.

Designed and developed Graphical User Interface for high speed printing system controller using X-Windows (MOTIF) on a PC platform running VxWorks. Maintained and added features to existing high speed data systems. Developed hardware diagnostics.
