Develops and implements communication plans to support monthly Ballistic Missile Defense Exercises (BMDEX) and annual Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) exercises to train and certify shipboard operators in defensively tracking and destroying ballistic missiles. Instructor in formal classroom training as communications SME to educate students in the theory and implementation of communication technologies in support of BMDEX events.

Provided government oversight to contractor and government Alteration and Installation Teams (AITs) in the execution of services supporting the delivery and integration of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Information, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities in U.S. Navy ships. Served as an IT Specialist supporting the Fleet Modernization and Installation Division in the Fleet Modernization & Installation Division, code 42100 for NAVAL INFORMATION WARFARE CENTER (NIWC) PACIFIC to ensure new capabilities were of high quality, installed on time, and under budget.

Acquired skills in the operation of the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) LAN system in a lab environment. For part of 2014 and all of 2015, was in a 'leave without pay' status to pursue education as a full-time student at DeVry University.

Served as the Senior Technical Advisor to the Commander, SEVENTH Fleet N6 directorate staff officer to ensure the C4ISR readiness of the U.S. Navy surface flagship, USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC-19), while in port and at sea. Served as subject matter expert (SME) on Radio Frequency (RF) systems, ranging from WSC-6 Super High Frequency (SHF) terminals to High Frequency (HF) transmitters and receivers used for long-haul communications.

Assisted Expeditionary Strike Group communications staff personnel in the technical planning aspects of communication preparedness to support exercises and real-world operations. Troubleshot hardware and software difficulties on Microsoft Windows LAN servers, Cisco and Alcatel switches, and the associated fiber optic and copper cabling.
