Africa Health Concern End Tb In Africa With PartnersAfrica Health Concern Jun 2012 - PresentJinja Uganda East AfricaAFRICA HEALTH CONCERN END TB In Gender, Adult, families,prison,police and army, Youth and Social communities like bars,Refugee camp ,markets etcTo open Intervention to give to different communities in Africa to access and health system aspects that can contribute to uptake of TB services by different men, women, youth etc and other vulnerable sub-populations.Africa Health Concern is ready to partners with international Health Partner fighting TB Uganda,East Africa and AfricaThe Africa Health Concern END TB aims to increase tuberculosis (TB) case detection and treatment success in Uganda to 90% of all cases. The project provides technical assistance (TA) to the National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP), direct service delivery (DSD) support to the focus districts of Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono, and indirect TA to the 17 DR-TB sites in Uganda. Defeat TB is implemented byThe gender, youth and social inclusion analysis (GYSIA) aimed to analyze the extent to which men, women, youth and other vulnerable sub-populations seek and utilize TB prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment services. The study also aimed to analyze barriers to access and utilisation of TB prevention as well as identify unknown marginalized sub-populations in the community who face barriers to accessing TB prevention, care and treatment services and to assess what these barriers are. Finally, the study aimed to identify and assess gender and youth mainstreaming policies, practices, innovative interventions/activities/models currently in place at national, regional, district, health facility and community level or new ones that could be explored to reach out to the marginalized/underserved sub-populations.
