In my position as a Web Specialist in NMQ Digital I work on a daily basis with customers and create webpages for them using AEM 6.5 and sometimes a tool called STEP. I create Philips Healthcare pages in B2B and also Philips household products pages in B2C. Other tools that I utilize are Kayako and ServiceNow for in order to create tickets for communication. Photoshop is a program I use daily in order to edit, resize, and optimize images for the web. I also use Skype for Business to communicate with my customers in both English and Spanish as we work with customers from all over the world. I work by myself most days but I also have a team that I collaborate with in the office and outside the office when we big projects. I perform quality assurance checks on all my pages before delivering a preview link to customers to insure that all the webpages are at their upmost best quality in all renditions from laptops to mobile devices. I manage my time well in order to meet my deadlines and I am do my best to help the customers in anyway possible including if it means staying at the office after hours if customers have an urgent page request.

My responsibilities as a Web Author consisted of deleting old content pages Intel no longer needed as well as redirecting new content to a new or different URL. On a daily basis I worked with AEM/CQ to complete my tasks as well as with Microsoft Excel and running its macros that would yield information of the requested pages we needed to delete. When doing file removals I would go into AEM and look for the node under the many directories to delete it and make sure it was no longer AEM. I worked with geo files (content localization) files in AEM from North America, Europe, Asia, etc. I also reviewed that all the pages had the correct content in it like the right language and location. I used Google Analytics to gather information of the pages that had been requested. For certain projects that required a great number of files to be deleted I would use a tool in AEM called Clay Tablet to delete them all in small batches in order not to cause the server to slow down or crash. I often communicated with customers through phone, e-mail, and Lync Messenger/Skype for Business to help them with their requests and any other issues that would arise during the process of moving their request forward. Most of the days I worked individually on all my tasks but at times I also collaborated in a team that typically consisted of five other staff members in order to meet all our deadlines for our task and projects.

I captured our events through photos and videos and I would later edited with Photoshop, iMovie, and Final Cut Pro and upload them on to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I also worked on our Drupal 6 (HTML & CSS) website which consisted of updating page content, fixing typos, and broken links.

Catered food to events all around campus and on occasions I would also help prepare it. Maintained the kitchen clean and its equipment, as well as organize it to ensure it was ready to use. I made sure everyone was followed our safety procedures. I also helped answer questions that students had regarding the kitchen and the food.

Promoted our events by creating content using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign on Mac & Windows. I reviewed my work to make sure it had no typos as well as had others review it in case I missed something. Not knowing many of the terms used in the community, I quickly learned them and adapted to being able to use them in the content that I produced through flyers, brochures, newsletters, etc. I always had multiple deadlines to meet so I prioritized them so I could complete each task before the deadline.
