With over 15 years of experience in community health programming and international development, I am a passionate and skilled Program Officer at Aidsfonds, an organization that supports and advocates for the health and rights of marginalized communities around the world. I oversee diverse grantmaking portfolios, including special projects that respond to the emerging challenges and opportunities facing LGBTI+ movements around the world. My core competencies include grants management, program evaluation, movement building, and policy analysis. I have a proven track record of managing and supporting scores of grants with budgets of over US$20m, implementing a MEAL framework that is informed by the grantees, and maintaining a progressively supportive communication channel with all partners throughout a grant cycle. I have also gained extensive experience in engaging with UN agencies and other multilateral institutions, providing expert advice and influencing decision makers on issues impacting LGBTI+, women, youth, and migrant communities. Additionally, I have contributed to knowledge development and dissemination, co-authoring publications in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at international conferences on community-led, sustainable, and high-impact interventions. My motivation is to improve the well-being of LGBTI+ people globally, by resourcing and strengthening these movements, and by promoting trust-based and participatory grantmaking practices.
