I oversee diverse grantmaking portfolios, including special projects such as the small innovations grants initiative to support organizations in Africa responding to the rising anti-gender movement on the continent, and the Exceptional Opportunity Fund (EOF), which provided essential support to HIV-focused networks around the world, to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on an already dwindling HIV response. In this role, I've managed portfolios of over 23 grants totaling US$15m, by providing grants management, implementing a MEL framework that was informed by the grantees, and maintaining a supportive communication channel with all grantees and partners throughout the grant cycle. I work in close consultation with the fund's steering committee and other partners, ensuring compliance with all grants and organization policy, and that portfolio outcomes are met. My focus is to build out an LGBT and youth portfolio, advocating for more targeted resources, and extending technical assistance and grants management support to current grantees that fall within this portfolio.

Working towards changing harmful narratives that impact access to health for communities on the margins of society, I led strategy development efforts internally and with grantee partners to identify and prioritize migrant/PoC/LGBTI communities globally. I advocated for and ensured that our grantmaking strategy was informed by efforts to decolonize philanthropy and ensure meaningful participation of all stakeholders at all stages of the grant cycle.
