Overview:
As a Software Engineering Apprentice at Applio, I gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Working alongside seasoned engineers, I contributed to real-world projects that enhanced my technical skills and provided a deeper understanding of the software development lifecycle.

In just 4 weeks I led a small team through cycle of an agile development. We came up with design concepts for new features, down selected, refined and presented the ideas to clients all while achieving our goals 4 days early. We then used the feedback to evaluate how successful this cycle was and applied what we learnt on the product.


Skills Acquired:

Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

Understanding of software development methodologies, especially Agile and Scrum.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This was a two week work experience with Microsoft. I learnt about how their offices operate, what types of jobs are available at Microsoft, I Heard from industry executives and their inspiring career stories, with Microsoft UK’s CEO Clare Barclay and Director of Education, Chris Rothwell, We also looked into AI and its future within microsoft, and how its being used.
